Seeking to expand knowledge of web technologies such as: ux, JavaScript, ajax, php, asp.net, xslt and other such goodness.
Nurturing a community based around social justice by making focused personal connections and by Facebook postings; Mailchimp campaigns; connections within the community online and by email; and posting online. I systematically meet and aim to endorse sister groups on Bainbridge Island through shared information and connections. Tasks: creating logos and WordPress sites; creating printed flyers; summarizing press releases and postings; updating content regularly; and merging written materials.
I have expanded the role over time to creating a dynamic connection with our senators' Seattle staff and ensuring that we work together and understand each others' goals. This has lead us to being able to have weekly meetings, and I circulate information from those meetings throughout the State.
I created curricula in coordination with Lake Washington School District teachers and taught through school materials; acquired materials; and field trips to learn about cultures and health.
The role was converting PDFs into ebooks. Ebooks are relatively straightforward. The ones that we worked on had multiple graphics and text that wrapped around it - and needed to be positioned accordingly when text resizes. They were children's books and graphic novels mainly. Here are two:
